![]() I've tried modified drivers, changing EDID to force 5. Extremetech: Media Center PCs have been around for almost a decadeeven longer if you count earlier forays like Gateways Destination PC lineup from the mid-1990s. Here is the catch from most post I see here and in other places, Windows detects the TV as 8 channels capable, as in it sees the receiver capabilities, but no matter what I do, only 2.0 is identified by the receiver, even setting the audio settings as 5.1, it never switches to that and simply doesn't play the test sounds on any other than L and R speakers TV: 10 yo LG TV (from the times a TV was just a TV without anything else)Įverything connect on the above order over HDMI, no ARC, I use Kodi on it and with encoded formats (DTS, Dolby, etc) works wonderfully, but I never managed to get PCM 5.1 audio working, that would be desirable since I also use it as a Steam Remote Play client to play games on the big screen on multichannel ![]() ![]() I need a bit of help on getting 5.1 PCM working on Windows 10, I've tried this many time over the years without success but decided give another shot ![]()
